The Arlette Farge's Allure of the Archive has no doubt been one of the most inspiring works for me as a historian. I have my own archive stories and you will read some of them here. Some are funny, others rather frightening, some may be dull, and all of these encounters are subjective experiences that contribute to the writing of history in their most unique ways.
